The event was again organised by the Billericay & Theydon Bois Natters & held in conjunction with the Rotary Club Billericay Mayflower, at the “Funday on Sunday” in Billericay Essex, on the 15th July 2007 in aid of the Essex Air Ambulance.

This year we were jointly sponsored by British Legends & Best Insurance Thanks to their support we were again able to make the event free to enter.

Last Year we were very lucky with the weather being hot all day, but this year sunshine and showers had been forecast for the day & that is exactly what we got.

We had 150+ entries on the day, with vehicles ranging from MG, T Types, B's, V8's, Midgets, F/TF's & Z types. Of the non MG's we had a rare Bristol 403, Ferrari's, Jaguar’s, Pontiacs & Chevrolet’s, and even a late 1970's Ice Cream Van!

The rotary club provide a main arena with various displays including the fire service showing how to remove the top of a car in an emergency.

We had 3 slots in the main arena. The Essex Roadster's put on the first display, with a selection of MGF’s & TF’s. We were also supported by a number of local car clubs, the

We had 12 classes of competition, with Concours MG &  Concours non MG being independently judged. Pride of Ownership was self judged. The 1st in Concours & overall winner was Elaine Osborne, with an immaculately presented Red MGF.

Congratulations to Elaine & to all of our winners.

We must thank our main sponsor’s Steve Tyler, from British Legends & Mathew Best, from Best insurance who jointly presented the winners with their trophies.

Thanks also to our Judges, Ray Osborne & Mike Bowyer.

A big thank you to the organising team, Andrew Woods, Rhona Tynan, Clive Cox & Angelia Blaze, Robin & Marilyn Kerridge and to Adrian Clifford who took the photographs of the day.

Back in 1977 over a pint or 2 of beer, an idea was formed by the leaders of an MG Car Club Anglia Centre natter, about a car show.

This was subsequently held in the car park of the Queen Victoria Pub in Theydon Bois Essex, where the natter met. It was a success and held there until 1984 when it became to large for the pub car park, and so it moved to Blake Hall near Ongar. 2 Years later and it moved again to form an integral part of the Metropolitan Police show in Chigwell under the guidance of Dave Stonehouse. In 2006 Dave & his wife Veronica decided to move to Lincolnshire and so it looked like the Queen Victoria car show would end.

By chance a conversation in another pub (spot the common link here!) with an MGCC member and a local Rotarian revealed that they had a charity event that we could join & like the phoenix, the Queen Victoria car show rose from the ashes. The revised event was first held in Billericay on the 15th July 2007.
